Bailey Karst will continue her volleyball career at Ohio University. The Eaglecrest junior will become a Bobcat in 2011. Ohio is a member of the Mid-American Conference. She will join Front Range alumna McCall Paynter (Toledo) in the conference.

Brogan Prior-Newburn decided on Texas Tech as the place for her. After her senior year at 2009 State Runner Up Highlands Ranch, she will join the Red Raiders. She will join several Front Range alumnae (Karina Garlington, Kansas; Ashley Kelican, Kansas State; and Lindsey Licht, Nebraska) and current players (Emily Alexis and Nichole Lindow, Colorado) in the Big 12 Conference.
Congratulations!
King of the Mountain

Now that the “club” season is winding down, it’s time to start thinking about outdoor volleyball and juniors’ doubles in particular. As you know, with the NCAA making beach volleyball yet another women’s collegiate sport, the interest, and opportunities, have just increased for girls playing the sport of volleyball.
King of the Mountain Volleyball, producer of the Annual Vail King of the Mountain Open, provides the largest junior divisions competition in the Rocky Mountain Region. And…one of the most fun and exciting Events for juniors in the Country.
As well, in order to help introduce the kids to the outdoor doubles game, we provide a FREE doubles volleyball clinic, directed by the USAV’s John Kessel, the day before the one day juniors’ competition starts so that they can get better acquainted with the basic fundamentals and strategies of the outdoor game.
By the way, the King of the Mountain Open is quite a “family affair” as not only do we host adult and juniors’ divisions; but, we also have special Father’s Day father/son & father/daughter divisions which are held on…Father’s Day.
If you would, could you please pass this on to your coaches and players so that they might have the opportunity to participate in this stellar Father’s Day Weekend tourney. The sooner they register the better as last year’s Event saw over 60 juniors teams participate in 8 age group divisions (12-under, 14-under, 16-under, and 18-under). And, we anticipate even a bigger turnout this year. (The special Father’s Day division had over 50 teams registered.)
