Is It Over Or Is It Just Beginning?

NCAA

All the regular season matches are history. But that just means that it is tournament time! There will be fifteen alumnae playing in matches in the next few days. With so many former Front Range athletes playing, some of them were bound to end up together. Below is a run down of all the great match ups that will play out. (Click on the image above or here for an interactive bracket of the entire tournament.) We wish all of the teams the best of luck as they seek to rendezvous in Tampa!

All-SEC First Team selection Kristy Jaeckel will lead #14 Florida in action in Gainesville, Florida.

Georgia Tech and Jordan Kissman will travel to UCLA for a first round match against Baylor.

Senior Allie Suiter and New Mexico will also be in Los Angeles, but at USC to face Hawaii.

Senior Lauren Jaeckel and #21 St. Mary's will make the short drive to Stanford to play UC Santa Barbara.

Knoxville, Tennessee plays host to two alumnae, Ariana Filho (#11 Minnesota plays Louisville) and Becci Burling (Duke plays Tennessee).

Wichita State and Emily Adney travel across Iowa to face St. Louis.

#7 Nebraska already has a sold-out house for Lindsey Licht and company to play Coastal Carolina.

Courtney Karst, Kristen Schevikhoven and All-Big 12 First Team selection Sarah Ammerman will square off against one another in Baton Rouge, Louisiana when #19 Arizona plays Texas A&M.

If you want to see some of our alumnae in action but don't want to get on a plane, come to Ft. Collins Thursday (tickets are on sale today) to see four Front Range alumnae compete. Amanda Arterburn will represent Northern Colorado against All-Pac 10 First Team selection Kindra Carlson and #6 Washington at 5:00pm. Then at 7:30pm All-Mountain West First Team selection Evan Sanders and All-Mountain West libero Katelin Batten will lead #25 Colorado State against Middle Tennessee.

More Alumnae News

But wait! There's more! Just because it's tournament time doesn't mean that there isn't any other college news. Here are a few more Front Range alumnae tidbits.

Jennah DeVries was named First Team All-WAC last week.

Carrie Baird was named to the All-WCC Freshman Team.

Elise Sage was named to the All-NEC Second Team, one of only two freshman in the conference to earn accolades.

Jessica Kagarise finished her college career on a great note when she broke Wyoming's single season dig record during her Senior Day match.

Ariana Filho prepared for postseason play by posting a career-high eight blocks against Michigan.

Ann Dylla ended the year by improving her career high for kills in a match by tallying 17 kills while hitting .566 against Arkansas.
