Two Seniors Commit To Colorado


Two senior members of 18 Black recently committed to the University of Colorado. Congratulations to both Nichole Lindow (left), a senior at Centaurus and to Emily Alexis (right), a senior at Prairie View. The Buffaloes are members of the Big 12 Conference. Nichole and Emily will have a chance to face off against Front Range alumnae Sarah Ammerman (Texas A&M), Karina Garlington (Kansas), Ashley Kelican (Kansas State), Lindsey Licht (Nebraska), and Kristen Schevikhoven (Texas A&M). Congratulations to both girls and good luck!
Alumnae Keep Rolling
Another week of collegiate play and Front Range alumnae keep providing great highlights playing with and against some of the best teams in the country.
Kindra Carlson registered a double-double for #4 Washington in a 3-2 win over USC. She had 18 more kills in a 3-1 win over UCLA.
Lindsey Licht had 13 kills and hit .367 in a #5 Nebraska win against Missouri.
Ariana Filho had a career-high 11 kills while hitting .320 for #9 Minnesota in a loss to Illinois.
Sarah Ammerman hit .486 with 21 kills for #21 Texas A&M in a four-set win over Colorado.
Mo McReynolds led her Lehigh team with 12 kills and a .308 hitting percentage in a loss to Bucknell.
Elise Sage was named the rookie of the week in the Northeastern Conference for the second time this season. She currently leads Sacred Heart in attack percentage.
Courtney Karst had 15 kills and hit over .300 for the #18 Arizona Wildcats in a 3-1 win over rival Arizona State.
Carrie Baird has been turning in one solid performance after another for #23 San Diego. Read the "Rookie Has Another Solid Performance" section in the Torero's weekly release.
Becci Burling had 13 kills and a .400 hitting percentage in Duke's 3-0 win over North Carolina State.
Katelin Batten tied a school record for digs in a three-set match in a 3-0 win for #25 Colorado State against Utah.
Jessica Kagerise recorded a career-high 25 digs in Wyoming's five-set loss to BYU.

The high school volleyball season is in its final week! With post season play just around the corner, we want to wish all Front Range players and their teams the best of luck!
In the latest Prep Volleyball rankings, Ponderosa, home of Carly Boatwright, Caitie Breaux, and Kelsye Van Denand is #79 in the country.
Erica Denney was named the Denver Post's female Student-Athlete of the Week last week.

It's time to make time! Front Range has scheduled our annual Meet The Coach Nights, Holiday Party, scorekeeper clinic, ankle brace fitting, uniform sizing, and picture day. Please make note of the events now so you can join us! Remember that you can always check on events at Front Range, from practices and tournaments to meetings and travel dates on our club calendar.
Rick Russo, the local sales representative for ASO ankle braces will be available on Sunday, November 8th beginning at 10:00am and will stay until approximately 1:00pm. He will have ASO ($29.95) and ASO Evo ($34.95) braces available for purchase. He will accept cash, check, or credit card payments. For more information about the braces, click here.
Sunday November 8th is also uniform sizing day. Sizing will be from 10:00am until 1:00pm. Please come in to FR and try on uniforms and sweats to ensure proper sizing.

The annual Front Range VBC Holiday Party will be held on the evening of Saturday, December 5th at 7:00pm at Front Range. Details will be sent out in a future newsletter.
Front Range will host a scorekeeper clinic on the evening of Friday, November 20th. Maintaining scorekeepers (people who held a scorekeeper rating last year) will attend at an earlier time (6:00pm) than those who are earning their rating for the first time (7:00pm).
High School Meet The Coach night will be on Monday, November 23rd at Front Range. The meeting will start at 6:30pm for parents new to the club and at 7:30pm for returning parents.
Middle School and Boys Meet The Coach night will be on Thursday, October 29th at Front Range. The meeting will start at 6:30pm for parents new to the club and at 7:30pm for returning parents.
