Front Range Shines at JO's

Front Range sent six teams to JO's this season, all of which qualified through the national qualifier system. Of the six teams, five of them qualified in Open - 18 Black, 16 Blue, 15 White and 14 Amber in girls and 18 Granite in boys (more Open teams than any other club in the region) and 12 Pink in Club (which does not have an Open division of play at JO's).

Once at JO's, 18 Granite, 16 Blue, 15 White, 14 Amber and 12 Pink teams further distinguished themselves by achieving the highest finishes of any region team in their division, and all the girls' teams finished in the top 20 in their field, with 16 Blue garnering a top 5 finish. Congratulations to all teams for their outstanding performances at JO's. Click on the link in each finish below to see the complete list of finishes in each field.

12 Pink was an Honorable Mention for the Denver Post's Youth Excellence in Sports for their accomplishment.

Alumnae News

Front Range alumna Jane Colleymore, a member of of the 2002 18 Black team that won a JO national championship, helped the USA Women's National Team recently in the Pan American Cup held in Miami, Florida. The team finished fourth and Jane featured in the team's 3-0 win over Guatemala. See USA Volleyball's article regarding the match here.

She is also part of the team that is competing in the FIVB World Championship NORCECA zonal qualifier. Jane contributed to Team USA's win over Barbados as well in a win against the Netherlands Antilles.
