Alumnae News
Three Front Range alumnae recently made USA Volleyball headlines for their selection to two different USA squads.
Mekana Barnes was chosen to represent the US with the Women's National Team for a trip to Egypt. Read the original press release here. Read an article about the second USA-Egypt match here.
Kristy Jaeckel and Sarah Ammerman were both selected for the USA Women's A2 teams that will be competing in this summer's USA Adult Open Championships. This is the second consecutive year that both athletes are on the A2 roster. See the press release here.
Speaking of USA teams, Dalton Ammerman was named to the 2009 Boys’ Youth National Training Team. The 19-player roster will be trimmed to 12 to compete in this fall's 2009 FIVB Boy’s Youth World Championships in Italy. Ammerman is one of ten that was also on the 2008 squad. Outdoor Tournaments
The Side-Out Foundation, the same group that brought us the Dig Pink Tour, is offering an outdoor tournament this June. See their tournament web site for full details.
Closer to home, the 37th annual King of the Mountain tournament will be played over the Father's Day weekend this June. Offering several different divisions, the tournament is sure to be a great event. See complete information on the tournament web site.
