Jane Colleymore is featured in a new Under Armour ad campaign. If you haven't seen it on television yet, you can check it out online here. Jane's name was given to an Under Armour representative that was casting volleyball players for the commercial. She was given a spot, flown out to Baltimore (Under Armour's home town) for a day of shooting. The rest is history.
Mekana Barnes was recently selected to the preseason All-Mountain West Conference team by the coaches of the conference. A junior middle blocker at Colorado State University, Barnes was one of two middle blockers and one of two Ram volleyball players selected. To see the complete article, click here. Kristin Schevikhoven has completed her transfer from Northern Colorado to Texas A&M. Kristin will join fellow Front Range alumnae Sarah Ammerman and Cara Quayle on the Aggie roster. She is expected to compete for the starting setter position for the upcoming season. View the full press release here. Good luck!
Front Range USA Update
As mentioned in our last issue, there are several Front Range players that have been involved in summer volleyball opportunities through USA Volleyball. In addition to those players, here are three more players with summer stories to tell.
Ariana Filho joined the USA Youth National Team for training in San Diego before the team's departure to Mexico for Youth World Championships. Unfortunately, due to FIVB rules regarding roster changes, Ariana could not be selected to join the team for the tournament.
Hannah Margheim and Morgan Bohl traveled to Colorado Springs to participate in USA's Developmental A1 camp last week. The two players were joined by coaches Erin Dilbeck and Eduardo Fiallos at the 5-day camp. The pair were two of only five Colorado players selected to participate at the Developmental level.
Last, but clearly not least, an update from the HP Championships. Erica Denney came home with a gold medal to add to her collection. Erica's team, USA Select Blue, won the Girls International Youth division. Congratulations, Erica!
Sports Nutrition for Volleyball Seminar
Billy Glisan, a performance coach and creator of Front Range's SAQ program, will be presenting a sports nutrition seminar on Saturday, August 18th at 10 a.m. at Front Range. The seminar is open to all Front Range athletes and families at no cost (normally, Billy would charge $75 for a nutritional information meeting). Billy will be giving helpful information regarding making nutritional decisions that allow for optimal sports performance. If you plan to join us, please RSVP no later than August 15th by email to Eduardo at eduardo@frvbc.com.

We may have been rained out in May… but come August we’re playing anyway! Come help raise money for Camp Wapiyapi, a free summer camp for kids with cancer and their siblings, while having a great time!!
Two co-ed divisions: 4-person competitive and 6-person recreational, (at least 50% of players on court female)
