Kissman Goes From the Court to the House
As Sasha Kissman nears the end of her freshman year in college, she can be certain of at least one thing: she is making the most of her time. Sasha spent the fall helping lead Colorado Christian University's volleyball team as a setter, but that is just a small piece of her college experience.
Unlike many collegiate athletes, Sasha isn't content with just being an athlete. She firmly believes that athletics are only a small part of what college is all about. So what else is there? Check out her bio on CCU's website.
In addition to that, Kissman is also continuing her interest in politics that began at Eaglecrest with her participation in two AP classes. This spring at CCU, she organized a day at the state capitol that included leading the Pledge of Allegiance to open the day for the House. Her work with the College Republicans at CCU earned her next year's presidency of that club.
Sasha is hardly resting on the laurels of her recent successes. She intends to work for Tom Tancredo in his bid for the White House. Sasha is studying American history and plans to attend law school. After law school, Sasha wants to work in the field of constitutional law.
Qualifier Season: More Than Just a Bid |
"Whenever people talk about baseball, they don't say 'work ball'; they say 'play ball'. It should be fun." - Willie Stargell
Stargell may have been talking about baseball, but it applies to any sport. At Front Range, we place great importance on improving as athletes, as leaders, and as people. All of us recognize how challenging this process is and how important it is to enjoy the journey. There are many misconceptions about what Front Range is about. Above all we are human. As Shakespeare wrote, "if you tickle us, do we not laugh?... If we are like you in the rest, we will resemble you in that."
We sang the national anthem

We shared good times with good friends

We played with our food

We spent time with our families

And we enjoyed some sweet team bonding time

Thanks for being a part of the journey.
