Michelle Hoffner

Michelle joined Front Range in 2003 as the Head Coach of 14 Royal. During that season she coached the team to a 5th place finish at Crossroads, a 3rd place finish at Regionals and a 2nd place finish at the RMR JNQ, just missing a bid to Nationals. Michelle also coached 14 Royal in 2004, finishing 5th at the RMR Regional Championships. During the 2005 and 2006 seasons she coached 13 Scarlet to a 1st place finish at the Presidents Day Classic in Omaha, two top ten national qualifier finishes, and 1st in the RMR JNQ. In 2005 Scarlet competed in Junior Olympics and in 2006 Scarlet finished in the top 20 at AAU National Championships. Last year Michelle coached the 15 Open team to a second place finish at Regionals.

Michelle has worked with many different high school and middle school volleyball programs coaching, running camps and clinics including working for Ferris Martin Volleyball camps, as well as volunteering to work with youth groups in her hometown.

As a young athlete Michelle played for the NORCO volleyball club for 9 years. During her career she attended Junior Olympics several times and set her team to two top ten finishes. She played at Highland High School in Ault, CO and continued as a collegiate athlete playing for U of Northern Colorado for 4 years (96-00). While she was at UNC, she set several records as a setter.

This season Michelle will again coach 15 White.

Outside of coaching, Michelle works in downtown Denver as an actuarial consultant.
