James Beasley
Having coached with Front Range since 1992, James
brings a wealth of experience from the college ranks as well as
national team, professional team and club experience.
James has been the Head Coach of 16 Blue and the Lead Coach for the 16s and 15s since 2000.
He will continue in that role this season.
In 2006, James led 16 Blue to the finals of the AAU National Championships and to 5th place at JOs, cluminating a season where the team won Gold at two National Qualifiers (Crossroads and Northern Lights). He repeated that showing in 2009 when Blue again played in the AAU Championship match in 16 Open and went on to finish fifth at JOs in Miami.
In 2005, James reached the pinnacle with 16 Blue by winning
the gold medal in 16 Open. His team is the first
16s team to win the gold in Open from the RMR. This
followed a season where the team qualified for JOs at two
different qualifiers (winning one of them outright), and captured the bronze at its first
attendance at the AAU National Championships.
In 2001 16 Blue qualified for JOs at three
different qualifiers - winning two of them outright, one of the
few teams in USAV history to accomplish that feat. In 1994 and 2001 his
Front Range teams finished in the top 10 at JOs.
Four times his teams have won RMR titles.
In 2001, James received
Front Range Coach's Spirit of Excellence Award for a second time.
For two summers, James coached USAV High Performance camps in Dallas,
TX, Louisville, KY and San Francisco. During the summer of 1999
he served as a Head Coach in the USA A2 program, where
he worked with college athletes in a National Team development program.
James was the Head Coach for Colorado Christian University for one
season and was named RMAC Coach of the year in 1998, after spending
eight years as an assistant in that program. Also in 1998 James was
the First Assistant for the Colorado Thunder Women's Professional
Team.
James also is an Administrative Assistant for Front Range. In this
capacity he directs all the Front Range camp and clinic programs.
He and his wife, Heather (a former player for Front Range and Jim
Miret) are the proud parents of Caleb, Chloe, and twins Cayden and Cameron; they live in Parker, CO.
