2008 Mountain Division Summer Camp information

Camps and leagues are ordered by grade level.

General Information (regardless of age):

    1. Beginning camps or leagues are intended for relatively inexperienced players (1 year or less experience playing volleyball);
    2. Intermediate camps and leagues are intended for players with some experience (1 or 2 years experience playing volleyball);
    3. Advanced camps or leagues are intended for experienced players (2 or more years experience playing competitive volleyball).

CAMPS

Middle School Development Camp 1
Cost: $90.00 pre-registered; $105 walk-up; or $45 each session
Dates: July 14 – 16
Site: Berry Creek Middle School
Time: 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Level: Grades 5 – 8 (Girls and Boys); Beginner to Intermediate level.

The first hour is dedicated to developing the player's serving, passing, defense, hitting and setting skill levels; the second hour concentrates on Mini court games of 3-on-3 and 4-on-4 to give the players the chance to reinforce the fundamentals learned in the first hour.

Middle School Development Camp 2
Cost: $90.00 pre-registered; $105 walk-up; or $45 each session
Dates: August 4 – 6
Site: Berry Creek Middle School
Time: 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Level: Grades 5 – 8 (Girls and Boys); Beginner to Intermediate level.

This camp is for youth and middle school volleyball players who want to achieve success in breaking down a serve receive with a variety of different serves.

Beginner Hitter Boot Camp 1
Cost: $90.00 pre-registered; $105 walk-up
Dates: July 7 – 9

Time: 9:00am – 11:00am
Level: Grades 6 – 8 (Girls and Boys); Beginner to Intermediate level.

For new players looking to maximize their volleyball potential. Camp will offer an outstanding opportunity for hitters to learn the fundamentals and basics of hitting along with tons of reps and video breakdown.

Beginner Hitter Boot Camp 2
Cost: $90.00 pre-registered; $105 walk-up
Dates: July 14 – 16
Site: Edwards Elementary School
Time: 9:00am – 11:00am
Level: Grades 6 – 8 (Girls and Boys); Beginner to Intermediate level.

For new players looking to maximize their volleyball potential. Camp will offer an outstanding opportunity for hitters to learn the fundamentals and basics of hitting along with tons of reps and video breakdown.

Beginner Setter Boot Camp
Cost: $90.00 pre-registered; $105 walk-up
Dates: July 7 – 9

Time: 2:30pm – 4:30pm
Level: Grades 6 – 8 (Girls and Boys); Beginner to Intermediate level.

This camp offers an outstanding opportunity to learn the fundamentals of setting. Setters will learn to improve their setting control and accuracy and expand their repertoire. A must-do to get off on the right foot for the high school season.

Beginner Ball Control Camp 1
Cost: $75.00 pre-registered; $90 walk-up; or $30 each session

This camp is a must for those players wanting to learn the techniques to become top-notch passers and defenders. It will give the players thousands of passing and defensive reps as well as improved technical ability in the passing lanes. The camp will focus on 4 primary areas: (1) movement to and with the ball (2) controlling the easy and hard driven hit (3) developing floor skills (4) all forms of serve receive.

This camp offers an outstanding opportunity to advance setting skills for the setter who has the fundamentals. The camp offers video breakdown, movement training, and games. High School Tryout Prep Camp
Cost: $100.00 pre-registered; $115 walk-up
Dates: August 4 – 6

Time: 4:00pm – 6:30pm
Level: Grades 9 - 12 (Girls), Intermediate to Advanced level

This camp is for the player who wants to make her high school team and gain an edge over the competition. All session are setup for players to focus on every skill and a wide variety of small court game to prepare the players for competition. This camp is a must if you want to be ready for high school tryouts. Be trained by the best!

Beach Volleyball Camp 1
Cost: $60.00 pre-registered; $75 walk-up; $40 each session
Dates: July 10 and 17

Time: 12:00pm – 2:00pm
Level: Grades 9 – 12 (Girls), Intermediate to Advanced level

This camp is for players who want to have some fun in the sun. The first hour will focus on building the skills specific to the beach game. The second hour will focus on live play situations and competition using the skills learned in the first hour.

Beach Volleyball Camp 2
Cost: $60.00 pre-registered; $75 walk-up; $40 each session

Level: Grades 6 – 12

This camp is an hour of intense training to maximize your jumping ability, speed, and agility. Participants will use only their own body weight to gain strength and core coordination allowing them to hit the ball at a higher point, move faster along the court, and hit the ball harder. The sand provides a safe, low impact environment while creating resistance for the muscles to have work harder to produce speed and vertical.
