2008 Metro area Summer Camp & League information

General Information (regardless of age):

    1. Beginning camps or leagues are intended for relatively inexperienced players (1 year or less experience playing volleyball);
    2. Intermediate camps and leagues are intended for players with some experience (1 or 2 years experience playing volleyball);
    3. Advanced camps or leagues are intended for experienced players (2 or more years experience playing competitive volleyball).

CAMPS

Middle School Development Camp
Cost: $60.00 pre-registered; $75 walk-up; or $45 each session
Dates: July 8 and 10
Time: 4:00 - 6:00 pm
Level: Grades 5 - 6 (Girls and Boys); Beginner to Intermediate level

The first hour is dedicated to developing the player's serving, passing, defense, hitting and setting skill levels; the second hour concentrates on Mini court games of 3-on-3 and 4-on-4 to give the players the chance to reinforce the fundamentals learned in the first hour.

Middle School Intermediate Camp
Cost: $60.00 pre-registered; $75 walk-up; or $45 each session
Dates: July 8 and 10
Time: 6:30 - 8:30 pm
Level: Grades 6 - 8 (Girls and Boys), Intermediate to Advanced level

The first hour is dedicated to developing the player's serving, passing, defense, hitting and setting skill levels, along with fundamental movement and training. The second hour concentrates on participating in a wide variety of mini court games including 3-on-3 and 4-on-4 to give the players the chance to reinforce the fundamentals learned in the first hour.

Beginning Setter Boot Camp
Cost: $120.00 pre-registered; $135 walk-up
Dates: July 22, 24, 29 and 31
Time: 8:00 - 10:00 am
Level: Grades 6 - 8 (Girls and Boys); Beginner to Intermediate level

This camp offers an outstanding opportunity to learn the fundamentals of setting. Setters will learn to improve their setting control and accuracy and expand their repertoire from Colorado's most experienced and accomplished setting coaches. A must-do to get off on the right foot for the high school season.

Serving & Jump Serving Camp I
Cost: $75.00 pre-registered; $90 walk-up; or $30 each session
Dates: July 12, 19 and 26
Time: 9:00- 10:30 am
Level: Grades 6 - 8 (Girls and Boys); Beginner to Intermediate level

This camp is for youth and middle school volleyball player who want to achieve success in breaking down a serve receive with a variety of different serves.

Middle School Elite Camp
Cost: $60.00 pre-registered; $75 walk-up; or $45 each session
Dates: July 15 and 17
Time: 6:00 - 8:30 pm
Level: Grades 7 - 8 (Girls and Boys), Advanced level

This camp is designed for the 7th and 8th grader looking for an intense volleyball skills camp. Learn from Colorado's most experienced and accomplished youth coaches. The camp offers video breakdown, movement training, ball control drills and games. The campers will experience game-like situations and competitions in both 6-on-6 and 4-on-4 games.

Beginning Hitter Boot Camp
Cost: $120.00 pre-registered; $135 walk-up
Dates: July 8, 10, 15 and 17
Time: 8:00 - 10:00 am
Level: Grades 7 - 8 (Girls and Boys); Beginner to Intermediate level

For new players looking to maximize their volleyball potential. Camp will offer an outstanding opportunity for hitters to learn the fundamentals and basics of hitting along with tons of reps and video breakdown.

Beginning Ball Control Camp
Cost: $90.00 pre-registered; $115 walk-up; or $45 each session
Dates: July 11, 18 and 25
Time: 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
Level: Grades 8 - 10 (Girls and Boys); Beginner to Intermediate level

This camp is a must for those players wanting to learn the techniques to become top-notch passers and defenders. It will give the players thousands of passing and defensive reps as well as improved technical ability in the passing lanes. The camp will focus on 4 primary areas: (1) movement to and with the ball (2) controlling the easy and hard driven hit (3) developing floor skills (4) all forms of serve receive.

Advanced Ball Control Camp
Cost: $90.00 pre-registered; $115 walk-up; or $45 each session
Dates: July 11, 18 and 25
Time: 8 - 10 am
Level: Grades 9 - 11 (Girls and Boys), Advanced level

This camp is a must for those players wanting to improve their technique to become top-notch passers and defenders. It will also greatly benefit those big attackers who need thousands of passing and defensive reps as well as improved technical ability in the passing lanes. The camp will focus on 4 primary areas: (1) movement to and with the ball (2) controlling the easy and hard driven hit (3) developing floor skills (4) all forms of serve receive.

Setter Boot Camp II
Cost: $120.00 pre-registered; $135 walk-up; or $45 each session
Dates: July 22, 24, 29 and 31
Time: 10:00 am - 12:00pm
Level: Grades 9 - 11 (Girls and Boys), Intermediate to Advanced level

This camp will offer an outstanding opportunity to advance setting skills for the setter who has the fundamentals. The camp offers video breakdown, movement training, and games. Setters will learn to improve setting control and accuracy and expand their repertoire from Colorado's most experienced and accomplished setting coaches and prepare for club season. A must do to get off on the right foot for the high school season.

Hitter Boot Camp II
Cost: $120.00 pre-registered; $135 walk-up
Dates: July 8, 10, 15 and 17
Time: 10 am - 12:00 pm
Level: Grades 9 - 11 (Girls), Intermediate to Advanced level

For the experienced hitter looking to maximize her volleyball potential. This camp is for all hitting positions and will offer an outstanding opportunity for hitters to learn some techniques of attacking including shot selection, seeing/using the block and how to hit specialty sets the fundamentals and basics of hitting along with tons of reps. The camp offers video breakdown, movement training, and games.

Serving & Jump Serving Camp II
Cost: $75.00 pre-registered; $90 walk-up; or $30 each session

Time: 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Level: Grades 9 - 11 (Girls and Boys), Intermediate to Advanced level

This camp is for high school volleyball player who want to achieve success in breaking down a serve receive with a variety of different serves.

High School Tryout Prep Camp
Cost: $150.00 pre-registered; $165 walk-up
Dates: August 4, 5, 6 and 7
Time: 9:00 am - 11:30 am
Level: Grades 9 - 11 (Girls), Intermediate to Advanced level

This camp is for the player who wants to make her high school team and gain an edge over the competition. All session are setup for players to focus on every skill and a wide variety of small court game to prepare the players for competition. This camp is a must if you want to be ready for high school tryouts. Be trained by the best!

LEAGUES

All leagues will meet at Front Range prior to the first session for registration. Registration will end 30 minutes prior to the start time of the league. Parents should be available to transport their children from Front Range to Dove Valley Park (½ mile from Front Range). After the first session, all future sessions will meet at Dove Valley Park. Be sure to wear sunscreen!

Leagues cost $100 per team. All individual players must register through Sign Up To Play but only one member of the team needs to pay the full $100 fee.

Middle School Doubles League I
Cost: $100.00 for the league per team (pre-registered; $115 walk-up)
Dates: July 7, 9, 14, 16, 21 and 23
Time: 1:00 - 2:00 pm
Level: Grades 5 - 6 (Girls and Boys); Beginner to Intermediate level

Games played on a half court which gives the young players a perfect opportunity to get a maximum number of touches on the ball in a competitive setting, to learn how to move towards the ball and to acquire the basic skills to progress toward a middle school team.

Middle School Doubles League II
Cost: $100.00 for the league per team (pre-registered; $115 walk-up)
Dates: July 7, 9, 14, 16, 21 and 23
Time: 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Level: Grades 7 - 8 (Girls and Boys), Beginner to Intermediate level

Games played on a doubles court outside (if weather permits) or inside at the Front Range facility. This is the perfect opportunity for young players to get an introduction to the sport of doubles and also to get a maximum number of touches on the ball in a competitive setting. The players will learn how to move towards the ball and acquire the basic skills of the sport.

High School Doubles League
Cost: $100.00 for the league per team (pre-registered; $115 walk-up)
Dates: July 8, 10, 15, 17, 22 and 24
Time: 12:30 - 2:00 pm
Level: Grades 9 - 12 (Girls and Boys), Intermediate to Advanced level
